Refund Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Chess Review is sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. Paddle processes the payment, issues your invoice, and carries out refunds. You can request a refund in two ways: reply directly to the receipt email Paddle sent you, or contact us and we will process it with Paddle on your behalf - whichever is easier for you.
The short version. Subscriptions: full refund within 14 days of a charge if you have used fewer than 3 cloud reviews in that period (otherwise refunded minus $0.70 per review used). Credits: full refund within 14 days if none are used. No hoops.
Subscriptions (Pro monthly and Pro yearly)
- First charge: a full refund within 14 days of the charge if you have used fewer than 3 cloud reviews since it. After that, the refund is the price minus $0.70 for each cloud review you used (each one costs us real compute).
- Renewal charges: a full refund within 7 days of the renewal if you have not used a cloud review since it.
- Free trial: if you cancel during a trial, nothing is charged at all. A trial includes up to 2 cloud reviews and 3 chat questions a day.
- Cancelling stops all future charges immediately; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
Credits (10- and 30-credit packs)
- Full refund within 14 days of purchase if none of the credits in the pack have been used.
- Partly used packs are not refundable, but unused credits never expire - so there is no rush to spend them.
Founder lifetime access (no longer sold)
- If you bought a Founder seat before November 2026 it stays valid, with 12 cloud reviews a month. Refunds for it are available within 30 days of the original purchase.
How to request a refund
- Fastest: reply to the receipt email Paddle sent you when you paid. Paddle's support handles it as merchant of record.
- Or: post in the Discussion room or reach us through the site, and we will process it for you.
Exceptions
- Refunds are not issued for accounts terminated for abuse of the service (see the Terms of Service).
- Where local consumer law gives you stronger rights than this policy, that law applies.
